Here you'll find your overview of all the practical information you will need for an amazing visit to The Concert Hall of Aarhus
Remember your ticket
You can bring your ticket in two ways:
- As a physical ticket
- As a digital ticket on your phone
We recommend you arrive early. The doors open 20 minutes before the show starts and you will have time to buy drinks in the café.
Finding a parking space can take time and not everyone will be able to find one close to The Concert Hall. There can also be queues to enter the concert halls and getting to your seat can take time.
You can park in the basement of The Concert Hall or in the basement of our neighbor and collaborator Aarhus Congress Center.
Café and restaurant
Spoil yourself and your guests with delicious drinks and lovely food in the cozy atmosphere of our café johan r or our brasserie and cocktail bar Maestro, both of which are located inside The Concert Hall.

Drinks for the intermission
Pre-order your drinks for the intermission and avoid queueing. Your drinks will be waiting for you as you come out for intermission.
For performances and events in Store Sal we offer NEM Pause: We serve you all you can drink wine, cava, beer, soda, coffee, the and delicious snacks through the break.
The price is 65 DKK pr. person for NEM Pause.
You can order the drinks when you purchase your tickets here on our website, in the Ticket Office, trough the DRINKO app or in the bar at the day of your visit.
You can leave your coat and belongings at one of the cloakrooms of The Concert Hall. The cloakrooms will be staffed two hours before the show starts and the price is 20 DKK. You can pay with cash or Mobile Pay.
You will find the main cloakroom close to Store Sal at The Concert Hall in the Foyer.
Guests attending Symfonisk Sal (Symphonic Hall) or Rytmisk Sal (Rhythmic Hall) should use the additional cloakroom located in the corridor between the old and new buildings.
Cloakrooms without a fee: Guests can choose to hang their coats next to the restrooms in the basement below the Foyer for free. Use of this cloakroom is at one's own risk.
There are several restrooms throughout The Concert Hall that can be used free of charge.
From the Foyer, restrooms can be found in the basement of the northern and southern ends of the building. There are also restrooms by the restaurant and on the 1. balcony.
Restrooms in the new building can be located underneath the stairway by the entrance to Rytmisk Sal (Rhythmic Hall)
Accessibility: Restrooms for people with disabilities are located on every floor of the Foyer as well as in the new building. You can read more about accessibility here.
The shows at The Concert Hall of Aarhus start on time. If you arrive late, you cannot expect to gain access to the concert hall after the show has started.
The artists decide whether and when late arrivals can be let into the concert halls. The rules vary from show to show.
We request that mobile phones will be turned off prior to any performance in The Concert Hall. If you must keep your phone turned on, please place it on silent or vibrate mode.
Please also remember that light from your phone may be distracting to other audience members. It is not allowed to take photos or record sound from performances.
Children are always welcome
Kids are very welcome in The Concert Hall of Aarhus. Every year we offer a range of events and shows for children of all ages.The recommended age is often noted for the specific event. If you are wondering whether a given show is suitable for children, feel free to contact our box office.
If you are bringing a child to The Concert Hall, please remember:
- All children must have their own ticket. This also applies to outdoor concerts with a standing audience.
- All children must be big enough to sit in their own seat, without disturbing the performers or other audience members.
- It is not permitted to leave carriages and the like unsupervised.
